Carmen Yu
Carmen Yu was born in Hong Kong and currently studying at Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts (HKAPA) , major in contemporary dance. Yu was participated in Beijing Dance Festival in 2015 and Budapest Dance Festival in 2016. She started learning Chinese dance at the age of 9 and gradually got in touch with other dance styles since secondary school, including jazz and contemporary dance. Yu also joined GYDP offered by HKAPA in 2013. Yu had participated in training programmed in "Teens of Colors" in 2012 to 2013 and "WuDaoQingNian 2013" organized by City Contemporary Dance Company Dance Centre. Throughout the experience of WDQN outdoor performances, Carmen was inspired to continue with her interest in environmental dance performances. She had worked with some of the choreographers such as John Utans, Christine Gouzelis, Yongjing Li, Bruce wong ,Noel Pong, Blue Ka Wing.She joined performances like "imagination boom 3" by E-side dance company "Ode To summer" by Eside Dance Company in Jing Li's piece in 2013, Studiodanz showcase 2015 and Art Basel Parade opening performance in 2013, Hong Kong Dance Awards opening performance choreographed by Noel Pong and participated in "My daddy,my flying car and me" performance in 2016.
